The Santiago Heritage Free Tour begins in the iconic Plaza de Armas, in front of the statue of Pedro de Valdivia. Here you will go back in time to learn about the history of the conquistadors and the inhabitants of these lands in the 16th century. You will continue the tour to the Cathedral of Santiago, an architectural gem with a history deeply rooted in the Incan past, where you will discover how the Spanish built their new city on ancient settlements. From there, you will head to the former National Congress and the Court of Justice, where you will learn about the political evolution of the country, from colonial times to the present day. You will continue to the Santiago Stock Exchange, and you can also make a stop at the historic Casa de Moneda, where the Presidential Palace is located. The tour concludes in front of the elegant Subercaseaux Palace, which will transport you to the golden age of Santiago, next to the emblematic Teatro Municipal de Santiago, the heart of Chilean performing arts.
