We will gather at the arranged meeting point to visit these two architectural landmarks of the city of Venice. On our Guided Tour of the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica, you will not only learn about the history of Venice from its early days as a republic, but you will also take a look at the spiritual life of Italy. First, you will visit the Doge’s Palace, where you will explore the corridors and halls where the chief ruler of the Republic of Venice lived in the Middle Ages and on. You will be able to appreciate the ornate decoration and the fine works of art that are still on display in the palace. You will then move on to St. Mark’s Basilica, passing by the Bridge of Sighs, built in the Middle Ages in honor of the city's patron saint. Inside you can admire the works of art and observe a real architectural marvel, with five domes that have a very special effect on the sound of the Basilica, making it an ideal place for concerts.
*Due to operational matter, all visitors will have to make the line to enter the monuments.
*The entrance fee gives you access to the Royal Palace, the Marciana Library, and the National Archaeological Museum that you will be able to visit on your own (without a guide).
*The tour does not operate in case of exceptional high tide. In this case it can be postponed to the day after, otherwise it will be refunded.
