We will pick you up at your accommodation in the city to begin this Salvador de Bahia Historical City Tour. The first stop will be Fort Santo Antônio da Barra, built in 1536 to protect the Bay of All Saints. In 1698 a lighthouse was acquired, which operates to this day. You will pass through the Corredor da Vitória, the Largo do Campo Grande (one of the carnival circuits) and Avenida 7 de Setembro. Then you will begin the walking tour towards Pelourinho, Historic Center of Salvador, where you will stop at Praça Municipal to appreciate the panoramic view of the Lower Town (Lacerda Elevator, shops, Porto de Salvador and Mercado Modelo), and Praça da Sé, a place that houses the ruins of the first Basilica in Brazil next to the first Archbishop's Palace of Salvador. The tour will continue to Largo do Pelourinho, where the Rosário dos Pretos Church is located. We continue towards the Church and Convent of São Francisco, considered one of the most unique and richest expressions of Brazilian baroque (fee of R$ 10.00, the price may change). Then, in the panoramic part of the tour, you will see the Lacerda Elevator that connects the upper city with the lower city, the first urban elevator in the world. Then you will see the Mercado Modelo; the 18th century Bonfim Church; the Mont Serrat Fort, one of the oldest fortresses in Bahia, and finally you will see the Tororó Dam, where you can admire the impressive sculptures of the Orixás by the artist Tati Moreno and the Arena Fonte Nova.
