We will gather at our meeting point for the Colosseum Arena, the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum Tour. With this tour you can immerse yourself in the ancient world while your guide brings to life the history of Roman emperors and gladiators. You will tour the Roman Amphitheater, a construction that shows the skill of Roman engineering and which housed a wide variety of forms of entertainment for the citizens of the time, gladiators’ battles among them. With more than 80 entrances and a capacity for 50,000 spectators, the Colosseum held festivals and games that lasted up to 100 days during its active period. Besides the visits of the designated areas, you will be able to go down to the rebuilt arena in the East side, and the recently rebuilt underground. You will then move to the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. The Forum served as the epicenter of the social, political, religious and financial activities of the Roman Empire. The Palatine Hill is the most central hill of the seven hills of Rome and has archaeological sites dating back to around 1000 BC. and were part of the so-called Roma Quadrata. According to Roman mythology, this is where the cave, known as the Lupercal, was located. This is where Romulus and Remus were found.
