On the Magical Towns of Cholula & Atlixco tour, you will visit the Cuexcomate Volcano, known as the smallest volcano in the world, which is actually an extinct geyser. You will also visit the Pueblo Magico of Cholula, a city built on the foundations of what was once an important Indigenous city. This city has 37 churches, of which you can visit the Santa María Tonantzintla Church, a jewel of the indigenous baroque style. You will also visit Chipilo, officially called Chipilo de Francisco Javier Mina, a small Mexican town in the state of Puebla, famous for its delicious cuisine and Italian heritage. Finally, you will arrive at the Pueblo Magico of Atlixco, also known as "Atlixco de la Flores," famous for its pleasant climate and its vibrant floristry, commerce, and tourism. Here, you can admire the Municipal Palace with its colorful murals depicting local history. Among its colonial buildings you can find the Ex-Convento del Carmen, which currently houses a cultural center and a small archaeology museum, and the La Merced Church, with its ornate Baroque façade.
