We will gather at our meeting point to start this Panama City Free Tour. The capital of the Republic of Panama is the main cultural and economic center of the country. It has intense financial and tourist activity. First you will visit the Metropolitan Archcathedral Basilica of Santa María la Antigua, a Catholic temple located in the Old Town of the city, whose façade has classical and Renaissance elements carved in stone. Then you will walk through Herrera Square, one of the most central points of the municipality, where the classic bullfights were held. You can visit the church of San José, which houses one of the most important colonial treasures in the country: the High Altar covered in gold leaf that dates back to the 18th century. Afterwards you will be able to appreciate the Arco Chato in the church of Santo Domingo, an 18th century structure where the old parish choir used to be. The tour will continue until reaching France Square, where there is an 18-meter-high obelisk, and also the Las Bóvedas monumental complex, which consists of seven vaulted spaces that were part of the city's defensive system. You will continue to Esteban Huertas, from here you will have an exceptional panoramic view of the Bridge of the Americas. Finally the tour will conclude in Bolívar Square.
