We will gather at our meeting point to begin this Washington DC Day Trip. The first stop will be Arlington National Cemetery, a resting place for war veterans, where you will visit the grave of former President John F. Kennedy. You'll then pass by the Iwo Jima Memorial, a tribute to the United States Marine Corps. Next, on the National Mall, you'll find the Vietnam War Memorial, the Three Soldiers Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial, place of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s well known “I Have a Dream” speech. Later you will pass by the Washington Monument, better known as the “Obelisk”, in front of the Reflecting Pool. After that you can take some photos outside the White House, and then head to the National Capitol. You will have time to eat (not included), and then you will return to New York. If time and traffic allows it, you can stop at Weehawken, one of the best viewpoints in New Jersey.
