We will gather at the meeting point to begin our Neuschwanstein Castle Day Trip. We will start by taking a train through the Bavarian countryside to Füssen, a city on the banks of the Lech River at the foot of the Alps and very close to the Austrian border. During the ascent to the palace, you will learn about its history and how it was born from the imagination of King Ludwig II as his fantasy of an idealized medieval castle, a design that later served as the inspiration for Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. Once at the castle, you will be able to enter the building (entrance fee not included) or walk around it to take marvelous pictures of the exterior. After a break for lunch and sightseeing, you will return to Munich Central Station.
