The Sollipulli volcano is a caldera with an average diameter of 4 km, located between the municipalities of Melipeuco and Curarrehue, between the Llaima and Villarrica volcanoes, two of the most active in South America. With this Sollipulli Volcano Trek of medium difficulty you will be able to see the volcano and its glacier located in the crater, its araucaria forests and panoramic views where you will appreciate different peaks of the Andes mountain range. The 11 km, 3.5 hour round trip hike begins by crossing a forest of araucaria and coigües, and then continues along volcanic soil to the summit. In addition to the beautiful forests, you can see birds such as condors, black woodpeckers, and Andean caranchos, and beautiful Andean lagoons that thaw in summer.
