We will go in a themed transportation to start this Comuna 13 & Graffiti Tour. You will visit the escalators and you will able to tour Comuna 13 in Medellín, and learn about its history, its conflicts and its transformation. While you go over its streets you can enjoy a live music show and visit the lookout points of Medellín and the Comuna 13, from where you can appreciate the street art in its different graffiti and murals. You can also see the art at the Neon House which has various paintings in neon colors inside. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Coffee Museum, where you will learn about coffee culture, or the Beer Museum. At the end of the tour, you will return to the area of El Poblado.
An important consideration for this tour is the presence of stairs throughout the route. Visitors will need to climb picturesque stairs that connect different parts of Comuna 13. This involves a certain level of physical effort, so it is not recommended for people with reduced mobility or limited physical condition.
Yes, one of the highlights of this tour is the visit to the famous escalators of Medellín's Comuna 13. These escalators were installed by the city government as part of the neighborhood’s transformation and infrastructure improvement process, and they are free to use.
