You will start this Literary Quarter Free Tour at Puerta del Sol. During the tour you will travel through history, visiting the places in the capital that were frequented by the great figures of Spanish literature. You will visit the Jacinto Benavente Square or Ángel Square, and admire monuments such as the Church of San Sebastián. You will continue your tour along the streets of Atocha, Matute and Huertas, and then stop in front of the Royal Academy of History, one of the most emblematic buildings in this neighborhood. On León Street you will find the Mentidero de los representantes, the meeting place par excellence for the great actors and writers of the time. You will see the printing press that gave life to Don Quixote and the convent of the Discalced Trinitarians. You will pass by Cervantes' house, the Spanish Theatre or Callejón del Gato (Cat Alley), delving into the lives of poets such as Federico García Lorca, Bécquer, Calderón de la Barca or the playwright Ramón María del Valle-Inclán.
