We will gather at our meeting point to begin this trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. During the 43 kilometer (27 mile) journey, you can watch a documentary about the Holocaust. When we arrive, you can explore Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II Birkenau at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. This camp was established in 1940 and was the largest Nazi concentration and extermination camp. Afterward, you will visit one of the most famous tourist sites in Poland, the Wieliczka Salt Mine. These mines have been in continuous operation since the 13th century and continue to produce table salt to this day. You will follow the tourist route that is open to visitors, which covers the most interesting excavations, including unique chambers that have preserved traces of the miners' work and the machines and tools they used. You will also explore chapels with remarkable salt sculptures and bas-reliefs, including the St. Kinga Chapel, located 101 meters (approx. 332 feet) below the ground, and an underground lake.
*The definitive pickup time and the total duration of the tour will be confirmed two days before the start of the tour, being between 6 and 8 hours.
