We will gather at our meeting point to head towards the ruins of Chavín de Huantar. Along the way you will visit the towns of Recuay, Ticapampa and Catac. From here we will continue towards the Cordillera Blanca until we reach the shore of Lake Querococha, at 3890 m altitude. This body of water of glacial origin located in the Áncash region, has a dark green color and is accompanied by queñual forests. Continuing along the path you will find the Kahuish Tunnel, the natural limit between the Callejón de Huaylas and the Callejón de Conchucos, at 4516 m altitude. Here you will begin the descent towards the city of Chavín, where you will be able to see towns with the typical constructions and people with traditional clothes. In this place you can immerse yourself in the culture and history of the area, since this was the administrative and religious center of the Chavín culture, built and occupied approximately between 1500 and 300 BC. You can have lunch at a restaurant in the city and rest, after that you will begin the return to the city of Huaraz.

*No charge for children up to the age of 4 (without using a seat). Once you’ve made the booking, write at reservas@denomades.com to indicate name, passport number and nationality of the child travelling without cost.
