We will gather at the meeting point to leave the city of Florence for the day and start our trip in Tuscany. On our Pisa, San Gimignano & Siena Day Trip you can discover the region’s dazzling landscape, as well as some can’t-miss stops where you will certainly be able to find a good souvenir or two. The first stop in the morning will be Pisa. You will be able to see the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and the Monumental Cemetery, and of course the Leaning Tower of Pisa, a building famous for its distinctive lean, which began to appear during its construction in 1173. Later lunch will be in a wine farm with a wine tasting (if the lunch option was included). Afterwards, the tour will continue to San Gimignano, one of Tuscany’s most picturesque medieval villages. You will have time on your own to explore this hilltop village’s cobblestone streets, squares, and artisan boutiques. Finally, you will continue on to Siena, where you will have a guided tour of the Piazza del Campo, the main square in the city’s historic center. From there, you will visit the cathedral, which is built over an even older foundation from between 1215 and 1263, at the height of the Gothic period. After this tour you will have time to savor a cup of coffee or visit some shops before returning to Florence, where the excursion ends.
*The entrance into the Siena Cathedral requires a strict dress code. Please make sure your shoulder and knees are covered. We cannot hold responsibility if your entry is denied for not meeting this code.
