We will gather at our meeting point for a unique tour, where you will take a less-traveled route. With our Palazzo Vecchio Guided Tour, you won’t see the areas open to the general public, but instead explore the palace’s narrow back halls, like the medieval stairway of Duke Gualtieri or the door hidden in a painting. You will the visit the Salone dei Cinquecento, the palace’s main chamber and seat of the Consiglio Maggiore. Legend has it that this room originally contained works by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, but they were lost due to its many renovations. What has survived in the Salone until the present day are the frescos of Giorgio Vasari and his assistants. At the end of the tour, depending on the type of program you have chosen, you will have the option of enjoying a Tuscan lunch in a typical restaurant located in the old town (drinks not included), or having a gelato tasting in a of the famous Florentine ice cream parlors.
