We will pick you up at your accommodation to head towards the southeast coast of Easter Island. The first stop will be at Vaihu, an unrestored ceremonial center where you can see toppled moais, vestige of the rivalry against tribes. Then you will visit Ahu Akahanga or “king's platform”. Here you can see four platforms, twelve moai and eight pukaos. Towards the interior of this ahu you can see one of the best preserved villages on the island. You will continue the path until you reach the Rano Raraku volcano and quarry where most of the island's statues were sculpted using the volcanic rock from its slopes. Nearly 400 moai can be seen in various stages of carving. Then you will visit the Ahu Tongariki, the largest on the island with fifteen moai. Further ahead you will see the Ahu Te Pito Kura which has the tallest statue on the island standing in an ahu, the Moai Paro 10 meters high, 85 tons and a pukao weighing 11.5 tons. Next to this ceremonial temple is a large spherical stone that is identified as the navel of the world Te Pito o Te Henua which, according to legend, was brought to the island by Hotu Matu'a, the first ariki (king) of Rapa Nui, in his boat. Finally you will visit the wonderful Anakena beach during 1 hour with a beautiful landscape of white sands, whose name comes from a small cavern in an adjacent ravine. After this you will return to your accommodation, ending the activity.
