With this Cusco Free Tour you will get to know the most important places in the city, starting with the Regocijo Square and the Municipal Palace. On one side of the square is the Cabildo Palace (municipal palace), a striking building whose origins date back to the 16th century. Just a few steps from the Regocijo Square, you will find the colonial mansion with white walls and blue balconies that, in the 16th century, was the home of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, considered the first mestizo writer of the New World. Then you will head to San Francisco Square, where the colonial church of San Francisco and the Flora Nativa botanical garden are located. On one of the corners of the square you will also find the Arch of Santa Clara. You can also visit the Central Market of San Pedro, which has more than 200 commercial stalls. Continuing along the tour, you will reach the Plaza de Armas, from where you will head to Calle del Sol, now officially known as Loreto, which is flanked by solid stone walls and preserves its architecture, monumentality and essence of the Inca Empire. You can also visit the Pachacútec Palace. Lastly, the tour will conclude near the church of Santo Domingo.
