We will meet in our meeting point to start this tour to the past with the Mosque & Jewish Quarter tour. The Mosque, built since the year 784 A.D., one of the oldest buildings in Europe and very important during the al-Ándalus period, was declared World Heritage by the UNESCO in 1984 and had several periods of extensions and constructions since that time to the Christian era, in which the place became the Santa María Madre de Dios Cathedral. You will make a guided visit in which you will have explanations by the guide. Then, you will go to the Jewish Quarter, very old area inside the Catedral Neighborhood in which still are preserved courtyards decorated with tiles of that time. There you will be able to visit the Zoco, a craftwork market in which you will be able to buy some souvenirs. In addition, you will see the Synagogue and the Maimonides sculpture, one of the greatest thinkers of the medieval times. Finally, you will pass by the Puerta de Almodóvar, old gate that marked the entrance to the city of Cordoba.
