The Berlin Wall & Cold War Free Tour will first take you to Friedrichstrasse train station, where you will learn about its history and the sad farewells that took place there. Here you will also find the TränenPalast Museum, which was a former border crossing between East and West Berlin at the station, and is now a museum with exhibitions about Berlin during the Cold War and the process of German reunification. You will continue your tour through the former ghost station Nordbahnhof, which was only used by trains coming from West Berlin, but which did not carry any passengers. Then you will continue to the Bernauer Strasse Memorial, the last stretch of the wall, which formed the famous "death strip" of the former border. Moving forward with history you will reach the old watchtower until you reach the Chapel of Reconciliation. You will discover the best preserved section of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, where you can admire wonderful works of urban art dedicated to hope. Many of them have become true graffiti icons, such as the kiss between the leaders of East Germany and the Soviet Union.
