We will gather at the meeting point to take the public transport and begin this moving six-hour tour of Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, located in the town of Oranienburg. This camp was intended to be a model for all camps to come in Germany and the first steps towards Nazi antisemitism were taken here. You will explore the camp in depth, where an estimated 200,000 people passed through and at least 35,000 of them lost their lives. You will learn about the daily lives and the history of the prisoners through different experiences told by survivors, as well as see photographs taken by the SS and documentation found after the end of World War II.
