With this Berlin Highlights Free Tour you will travel back to the Cold War in the famous Alexanderplatz. In this iconic square you will be able to admire the Berlin TV Tower, which is 368 meters high, making it the tallest publicly accessible building in Europe. Then you will be able to see the picturesque World Clock that will show you the time in several countries at the same time, the Marienkirche church, the Red Town Hall or the Neptune Fountain. Continuing along the route, you will reach Museum Island, an extraordinary cultural complex that houses five renowned galleries. Nearby is the cathedral, which is visible from almost any point in the town. Later you will reach the Royal Palace and one of the main avenues up to Bebelplatz. Here you will learn about the tragic episode of the Book Burning and the monument in memory of this historic event. You will be able to see the remains of the Berlin Wall and visit the most important border crossing, Checkpoint Charlie. You will also walk to Hitler's bunker, which is now a green area. At the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe you will hear about some of the most bitter chapters in history, such as the Holocaust during the Nazi era. Finally, you will see the Brandenburg Gate, the former entrance to the city.
