We will gather at the meeting point to board your transport out of Barcelona to make this Excursion to Girona & Figueres. After an hour and a half drive, you will arrive in Girona, also known as Gerona in Spanish, a city whose origins date back to the Roman occupation of the Iberian Peninsula. You will see the city's ancient walls, stroll through the cobblestone streets of the historic center, and see the old buildings as you listen to the myths and legends told by your guide, such as the flies of Saint Narcissus, a symbol of the city. Afterwards, you will have some free time to explore on your own and have lunch, before taking the transport to Figueres. Known as Figueras in Spanish, it is the closest city to the French border. You will see the town and visit the Dalí Theater-Museum, dedicated to the painter, sculptor, engraver, and stage designer Salvador Dalí, one of the greatest representatives of surrealist art. In this museum, which is a reconstruction of the original destroyed during the Spanish Civil War, you can admire the largest collection of works by this artist. Afterwards, you will return to Barcelona, which will be the end of the excursion.
